I had the manuscript ready, hidden in my dropbox for months. I dared not turn them into reality. I feared of rejections. I was at a stage that I needed positivity to go on.
A rejection letter would just bring my world crashing down.
However, time flies fast, waiting for no one. I might not be able to catch up.
I told myself – I have to act now. I might not have another chance.
Even if it meant a rejection, at least I had taken a chance and given it a try instead of simply wondering… what if…
Luck was with me, the manuscript was accepted on the first attempt. That acceptance had given me positive energy and helped in my recovery.
It is now 4 months since the manuscript was accepted. My recovery is progressing.
Writing the book itself (Dec 2014 – 2015) was a therapeutic process and getting it published (2016) is a dream come true.
I thought it had come to an end
Clearly, a new journey had just begin
Though it seems too far to achieve
I am up to this challenge
Give me time and space
Pen and also paper
I shall make progress
Because once I’ve started, I will not stop
Pic : it does tell it all, the picture that i draw
Our days begin early and we take a different route now. But, my obsession with the morning sky remains the same. I see hopes when I look at the morning sky. The energy brought positivity into my soul. Who are we to deny such amazing creation?
It wasn’t the price or the beauty
Because I am not an artist
It was the story
It was my journey
The memories and images that emerged
On every stroke on the blank canvas
On every single details and colours
When I was struggling with my tremors
When I was in constant fear of losing
Painting was part of my therapy
For physical and emotional recovery
It was real challenge for me and my family
Tears has been shed along the way
An patience has been tested
But we managed to sail through
That is what makes them valuable
…. the missing paintings.
The time has arrived for us to leave
Departure to a place we call our home
To live up our dreams while we can
Before this temporary world comes to an end
We know there will be challenges
But we have to move on without hesitation
Because time is too precious to waste
This journey is for seeking the inner peace
A preparation for the final destination
Which we know is going to be permanent
For the eternal land, that is the plan
In the highest paradise we walk hand in hand
Till then, we shall tirelessly seek His guidance
